About Sara Rheintgen
A student at Wakefield for fourteen years, Sara Rheintgen has always maintained an interest in literature, specifically with the works of Edgar Allan Poe. Introduced by her father's collection, Sara Rheintgen would admire even the design of the books themselves. In addition, Sara Rheintgen analyzed her first Poe story in the seventh grade--The Tell-Tale Heart. After reading multiple stories, Sara gained her sense of Poe's style. She then learned more through her sophomore literature class where she read more works, such as The Oval Portrait, Ligeia, and The Raven. That same year, she joined the Hitchcock club--a club which analyzes various films of Alfred Hitchcock and articles about the director. There, she noticed the similarities between the two artists and decided to compare these two in her final senior thesis.

Sara Rheintgen will be attending Virginia Tech this fall where she will study Agribusiness--a combination of environmental studies and business. She chose to study Hitchcock and Poe in a comprehensive study because she thought she would like to have the chance to study this before she begins her career.
